Founded in 1985 by Hayao Miyazaki and Isao Takahata, this Japanese animation studio has produced approximately twenty films, earning numerous awards for their unwavering dedication to crafting these captivating narratives. These stories encompass themes of love, friendship, thrilling adventures, etc. Notably, the studio is praised for its incredible handcrafted animations, resulting in visually spectacular masterpieces.
Personally, my affection for these films arises from the profound emotions they evoke in me. Each one possesses a magical quality, transporting viewers to imaginative dimensions. The first Studio Ghibli movie I saw was "My Neighbor Totoro," a heartwarming tale that follows a family, whose main characters are two sisters, Satsuki and Mei. The family moves to the countryside looking for a quieter life while their mother is recovering in the hospital. In their new home, the girls encounter peculiar, yet enchanting creatures known as "Totoros," embarking on a fanciful adventure in the nearby forest. But even though "My Neighbor Totoro" was my first Studio Ghibli movie experience, my ultimate favorite is "Ponyo". Words can't explain the profound affection I hold for this film. Ponyo tells the story of Brunilda, a sea creature yearning to explore the surface world, and SΕsuke, a five-year-old kid. They are the protagonists who embody a remarkably innocent yet incredibly charming love.
Of course, "Ponyo" holds a special place in my heart, but every Studio Ghibli film has left a lasting impact in my soul. Whenever I watch these films, I find inner peace and happiness, wishing I could watch them daily. To those unfamiliar with anime or Japanese culture, these films may not immediately grab your attention—I used to think the same. However, I ended up falling deeply in love with them. So, if you happen to be that person, I implore you to give them a chance! I promise it will be a worthwhile effort. Start with just one film, although I guarantee you'll soon embark on a journey from which you won't want to depart, hahaha. But for sure through these films, you will learn profound lessons, from love and imagination to the beauty of Japanese culture.
THANKS FOR READING ME, HAVE A NICE DAY, XXπΌπ.

I totally agree with you. This studio makes films that convey a lot of sensations just by looking a single frame.
ReplyDeleteAhhh, Studio Ghibli! I just love it so much. I love how it's so imaginative and child-like. I will never forget Spirited Away. It will remain as one of my most favorite movies! π
